PRIVACY POLICY

Information we collect

We maintain records of current, past, and potential audience members and donors, including those who interact with us in person and through digital media. Our records may include, for example, contact information and the history of your relationship and interactions with the SPCO. We use this information to provide you with customer service, tell you about our mission and activities, and study how we serve our community.

We sometimes share information with third parties that provide us with services to support our operations, including telefunding, information technology, and secure payment processing. These companies are required to protect your information.

Finally, we use server logs and “cookies” to provide improved and personalized user experiences and allow us to better measure the usage of our website and apps using software such as Google Analytics. We also record technical information including the Internet (IP) address associated with visits and logins, in order to better understand the location of audience members, understand technology usage, and provide a secure experience.

List Exchanges

From time to time, we allow other nonprofit organizations to send postal mailings to our address list through name list exchanges. These list exchanges are intended to help arts and culture nonprofits reach new people who may be interested in their offerings. To ensure your privacy, independent third parties process list exchanges; organizations sponsoring mailings do not have access to your name. Email addresses and phone numbers are not shared in this manner. You may opt out of name exchanges by contacting our Ticket Office at (651) 291-1144.

Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting

To better understand and serve our audience, we use Google Analytics’ optional “Demographics and Interest Reporting” feature, which uses Google’s advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers to provide us with a more comprehensive view of the demographics of our audience. Google provides instructions for opting out of Google Analytics tracking at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/

To better understand and serve our audience, we use the Quantcast service to provide us with a more comprehensive view of the demographics of our audience. Quantcast provides more information about their data collection, and the ability to opt out at https://www.quantcast.com/company/opt-out
